Competing against more than 150 of the world’s top robotics teams, OBR finished 9th overall in their division with a remarkable 8-2-0 record, securing a place in finals and establishing themselves among the competition’s top-performing teams. Along the way, the team achieved major victories against highly regarded international university teams — an achievement that reflects both their technical capability and determination.

One of the season’s biggest highlights came when OBR received the prestigious Build Award, recognising the competition’s best designed robots. Their robots stood apart from the field thanks to innovative engineering, advanced machining, extensive testing, and continuous refinement throughout the season. The award was a significant acknowledgement of the immense amount of work and creativity invested by the entire team.
Beyond competition success, OBR also gained international exposure through a feature on the widely recognised FUN Robotics YouTube channel. The feature gave the team an opportunity to showcase their robots, explain key design decisions, and share their engineering process with the broader global robotics community.
The season was not only defined by results, but also by collaboration, resilience, and a relentless commitment to improvement. From long hours in the workshop to rapid repairs between matches and fine-tuning autonomous systems on the practice field, the team consistently demonstrated professionalism and dedication at every stage of the competition.
